DCS redundancy typically includes the following:
Power redundancy
DCS power redundancy includes power supply for controllers, network interconnection control unit boxes, on-site instrument power supply, and bus power supply redundancy.
Controller redundancy
The controller and network interconnection control unit can adopt redundancy, divided into main control equipment and backup equipment. CAMS3000 synchronizes and tracks information between the main control and backup devices through dedicated communication lines.
Communication redundancy
In the DCS system, each controller has two Ethernet addresses that can be connected to different network segments to achieve network redundancy in the DCS system.
Redundancy of operation stations
The DCS system can be equipped with multiple operating stations to achieve parallel operation, each of which can independently perform tasks.
DCS system I/O board redundancy
In DCS systems, I/O redundancy is usually increased by 20% based on the actual number of I/O points required by the user.
