1. Does the operating station WINDOWSNT fail to start properly?
There are various reasons why the system cannot start. Generally speaking, unless the system informs that a certain file cannot be loaded, do not modify the software aspect first. Please check if there is a problem with the hardware. Generally, hardware failures are caused by loose slots in the computer or excessive dust
2. Does the operating station system crash or become unstable?
If it occasionally appears normal after one or two restarts, it is a normal phenomenon. If it occurs frequently, it is mostly caused by hardware failures. Please check the following aspects: dust blowing inside the chassis/whether the ventilation of the chassis fan is normal/whether the CPU cooling fan is normal/whether the motherboard and other boards are firmly inserted/whether the capacitors near the motherboard to the CPU are bulging and bubbling, etc/
3. Is the I/O card offline or faulty?
Check if the configuration settings are correct (ECBW type and base jumper)/if the card is burned (you can check if it is disassembled). If there are spare parts, replace them quickly and observe.
4. Does the measurement point display occasionally turn blue at the operator station?
It’s a problem with the display on the operator station, not that the measuring point is really offline. Currently, the processing method is being studied.
5. Are half of the DPU stations experiencing blue network cards or communication failures?
Most cases are caused by a HUB failure in one of the networks. Restart the faulty HUB once, and if the problem persists, replace it with a new one.
6. Does the operator station automatically log in after exiting?
Unexpected events that result in EDPF-NT system support software not responding are considered normal situations, and files can be modified if necessary.
When do I need to update the point directory?
Generate new measurement points, change the Chinese description of the points, and generate the ext algorithm or LOOP algorithm. Generally, when deleting measurement points, there is no need to update the point directory.
It is best to complete the corresponding configurations when updating, and then update the point directory together. Try to avoid frequent updates to the point directory,
Note: Even if the point directory algorithm and logic are not updated after generating the point logic, it will still run in the DPU station.
What preparations should be made to update the point directory?
● Check whether the communication status of the two network cards in the engineer station is normal, and ensure that the dual network communication is normal (never configure or update the point directory under a single network);
● Back up the configuration files (TEST FILE) of each station and all *. files under BIN1 UL and PNT. * files;
The DPU station to be updated must be running as the main station (if not, please switch back to the main station);
Log out the user from the system and log in again, but do not start the EDPF-NT system. Use the update point directory (do not choose the initialization point directory), then copy the BIN1 \ PNT. * file to PNT \, start the engineer station EDPF-NT system, observe everything is normal, and then download the point directory file to PNT \ on other stations;
Other operator stations need to log out and log in again;
● Main and sub station synchronization.
When do I need to initialize the point directory?
The first time the system updates the point directory, it is necessary to initialize the point directories of all stations;
Generally speaking, it is recommended to initialize the point directory of all sites during system factory acceptance;
Generally speaking, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer to create an initialization point directory before entering SAT in the later stage of on-site debugging.
10. What preparations should be made for initializing the point directory?
● Check whether the communication status of the two network cards in the engineer station is normal, and ensure that the dual network communication is normal (never configure or update the point directory under a single network);
● Back up the configuration files (TEST FILE) of each station and all *. files under BIN1 UL and PNT. * files;
The DPU station to be updated must be running as the main station (if not, please switch back to the main station). ※ It is recommended to close all sub stations to avoid initialization failure caused by switching to sub station operation during initialization;
● Log out the user from the system, log in again, but do not start the EDPF-NT system. Use the update point directory (select the initialization point directory), then copy the BIN1 \ PNT. * file to PNT, restart all DPU master stations (do not start the sub stations yet), start the engineer station EDPF-NT system, observe everything is normal, and download the point directory file to the PNT \ of other stations;
Other operator stations need to log out and log in again;
● Start the sub stations and synchronize the main and sub stations. ※ It is recommended to start the sub stations one by one for the synchronization work of the main and sub stations to avoid erroneous data display and command output caused by switching to the sub stations for some reason.
